Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park was added to the national master plan for industrial park development under the Decision No. 1107/QĐ-TTg dated August 21, 2006, by the Prime Minister, and its 1/2000 zoning plan was approved under Decision No. 3912/QĐ-UBND dated October 26, 2020, by the Long An provincial people’s committee (now Tay Ninh province).

Subsequently, the project’s investment policy was approved under Decision No. 1240/QĐ-TTg dated August 20, 2021, by the Prime Minister and officially established under Decision No. 9267/QĐ-UBND dated September 22, 2021; by the Long An provincial people’s committee.

I. Overview of Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park

With a total investment capital of over VND 2,590 billion, Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park covers a total area of 244.74 hectares, with potential expansion in Phase 2 through the adjacent Tan Tap Industrial Park, which would bring the total area to 654 hectares. The project has an operation period of 50 years, starting from the date of the Investment Policy Approval Decision (August 20, 2021 – August 20, 2071). Construction is expected to begin by the end of 2025 or, at the latest, in early 2026.
Designed to become the first green industrial park in the region, Nam Tan Tap Industrial Park aims to attract high-tech investment, create a safe and sustainable working environment, and contribute to environmental protection. The project will be developed in three phases: eco-industrial park ,carbon-neutral industrial park and net zero carbon industrial park.

Phuoc Dong Wharf Industrial Park was established under the Decision No. 2498/QĐ-UBND dated August 11, 2011 of the People’s Committee of Long An Province. After that, the industrial park was adjusted to increase the planning area to 410 hectares in Decision No. 1107/QD-TTg dated August 21, 2006 of the Prime Minister. Du Long Industrial Park was officially established in Decision No. 3848/QD-UBND dated June 30, 2008 of the People’s Committee of Ninh Thuan province with the full name Du Long Industrial Park with 02 phases including phase 1 area of 254.18 hectares (from 2007 – 2009) and phase 2 area of 153.1 hectares (from 2009 – 2012).

Du Long Industrial Park was first approved by the People’s Committee of Ninh Thuan province for its detailed 1/2000 scale construction plan on January 8, 2013 and was adjusted many times. On May 5, 2015, the Industrial Park was adjusted to reduce the planning area to 407 hectares in Document No. 620/TTg-KTN of the Prime Minister. The most recent document on scale adjustment is shown in Decision No. 142/QD-UBND dated March 31, 2023 of the Provincial People’s Committee. According to the latest plan, Du Long Industrial Park has a total planning area of 407.28 hectares.

Natural gas pipeline runs parallel to the boundary of Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park from the Nam Con Son / Bach Ho gas pipeline system. Natural gas (NG) & Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) are managed and distributed to customers in Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park by Sojitz Osaka Gas Energy Co., Ltd. using a 6-inch underground gas pipeline with technology. Maximum capacity is up to 15 million m3 of gas per month.
